Vice Chair - Mr. Gary Hoffard <br />Secretary - Ms. Kathi Peterson <br />Treasurer - Mr. Glen Hardin <br /> <br />There were no nominations from the floor. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. LeTourneau and seconded by Mr. Anderson to elect Terry Miller <br />as Chair, Gary Hoffard as Vice Chair, Kathi Peterson as Secretary, and Glen <br />Hardin as Treasurer of the Committee. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Case #4: Comments from Local Elected Officials <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann stated that he was pleased that Ramsey is the first Minnesota <br />community to be certified; he feels the Keep America Beautiful program is a <br />good one and will work well in Ramsey. Councilmember Pearson stated that <br />he is pleased with the program as it increases awareness of the litter <br />problem and he is glad to see that Ramsey is aggressive in handling the <br />litter problem. <br /> <br />Case #5: Comments from Robert Chase. Executive Director <br /> <br />Mr. Chase stated that he would make his comments at the time of <br />certification. <br /> <br />Case #6: Comments from Chair Regardin~ Pre-Certification Activities <br /> <br />Mr. Bawden outlined the pre-certification activities and requirements. <br /> <br />Chair Miller thanked Mr. Chase for the orientation session prior to this <br />meeting. Chair Miller also noted that he was pleased with the interest <br />shown in the Committee; he thanked the Chairs of the following <br />subcommittees for their interest: <br /> <br />Claudia Dodge - Public Relations and Communications Subcommittee <br />Leo LeTourneau - Business and Industry Subcommittee <br />Steve Bluhm - Municipal Operations Subcommittee <br />Glen Hardin - Finance Subcommittee <br /> <br />Chair Miller noted that the Committee is looking forward to improving <br />Ramsey's identify and that he is looking forward to working with the <br />Committee. <br /> <br />Mr. Bawden noted that Mr. Bluhm also serves as the liaison between the <br />Committee and the City's Landfill Commission. <br /> <br />Presentation of Keep America Beautiful Certification <br /> <br />Mr. Robert Chase commended the Mayor and Project Team on their work and <br />presented Chair Miller with Certification to the Keep America Beautiful <br />System. <br /> <br />Review of Committee Agtion Plan <br /> <br />Certification Meeting/August 3, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
