Mr. Hagen stated there could be retail. He noted it will not be heavy manufacturing. They do
not build the buildings with large truck courts.
Chairperson Steffen asked what percentage of pre -leasing on Building A do they need before
they are ready to build.
Mr. Polk thought they would wait until it is thirty percent leased out before starting construction.
Chairperson Steffen wondered if the exterior of Building A and Building B will match.
Mr. Hagen indicated they would match. He showed sample schematics of the buildings.
Member Riley stated he appreciated the presentation and loved the concept idea. He stated what
he picked up on and really liked was the partnership between the two companies and wanting it
to work out and he considered this to be a partnership with the City also and wants it to work out.
He stated what the City wants is the most commitment to building that they can get. He thought
this was the partnership he was looking for.
Mr. Hagen thought that was well said and noted there was a part in the agreement that states this
also.
There was further discussion regarding the site plan.
Economic Dev. Mgr/Assistant City Administrator Brama clarified the project process with the
Board. He noted this item can go into closed session but does not need to. He stated Adrenaline
will be a great user to have in Ramsey.
Member Skaff asked if Platinum Properties has had any discussion with schools such as Pact
because they could be a good potential user. He noted they are out of space.
Mr. Hagen stated they have not. He stated their focus right now is to make sure that their big
current lease is in place.
Member Skaff stated he was in support of this. He did not think they needed to go into a closed
session.
Chairperson Steffen agreed.
Member Williams thought it would help the City Council if there was a little more robust
conversation in regard to the price.
Chairperson Steffen thought they should ask that the subsidy application follow the process but
until they get that he did not know if they could discuss price.
Economic Development Authority/September 1, 2016
Page 3 of 6
