Commissioner VanScoy requested clarification on difference between the mean gable height and <br />the maximum allowable height. <br />Community Development Intern Meyers explained the maximum allowable height was the mean <br />gable height. She described how the City completed this measurement on accessory structures. <br />Commissioner VanScoy questioned how staff obtained the height of the home. He stated he did <br />not want to see the accessory structure to be higher than the home. <br />Community Development Intern Meyers indicated she received this information from the <br />property specs for the house. <br />Commissioner Brauer asked if the Conditional Use Permit would run in perpetuity. <br />Community Development Director Gladhill stated this was the case. <br />Vice Chairperson Bauer was in favor of placing an additional condition for approval noting the <br />accessory structure could not be used for commercial storage. <br />Community Development Intern Meyers reported this issue was addressed under Condition 6 for <br />the Conditional Use Permit. <br />Community Development Director Gladhill provided further comment on the City's Home <br />Occupation permitting process. <br />Jason Norquist, 8855 176th Avenue NW, stated he has been a resident of Ramsey for the past 25 <br />years. He explained he would like to place his RV inside in order to keep it protected. In <br />addition, he planned to house four -wheelers, snowmobiles and yard tools within the new garage. <br />Commissioner VanScoy asked if the trees along the road would assist in screening the accessory <br />structure. <br />Jason Norquist, 8855 176th Avenue NW, believed the trees would greatly assist in screening the <br />new structure. <br />Commissioner VanScoy questioned how the new structure would be accessed. <br />Mr. Norquist reported the garage would be accessed by the existing driveway off Vicuna Street. <br />Motion by Commissioner Andrusko, seconded by Commissioner VanScoy, to close the public <br />hearing. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Vice Chairperson Bauer, Commissioners Andrusko, VanScoy, <br />Brauer, and Nosan. Voting No: None.
