In every case, sufficient area shall be provided for at least two (2)bedrooms in dwellings. For systems other than household systems, the req-{red treatment area shall be based upon gallons of waste per day. Th required treatment area may be reduced, for trenches only, by the following percentages: Twenty per cent (20%) for twelve (12) inches of filter materials below the distribution pipe; thirty-four per cent (34%) for eighteen (18) inches; and forty per cent (407o) for twenty-four (24) inches. The filter material shall completely encase the disposal pipes to a depth of at least two (2) inches. Soil is unsuitable for standard system if percolation rate is less than one-half (1/2) minute per inch. See Cbapter 150.014G. Consider sewage trea~n~nt units for problem soils with this percolation range. See Chapter 150.014G. Subd. 2 ~ION 1. On slopes in excess of twelve per cent (12%), the soil profile shall be carefully evaluated in the location of the proposed soil treatment area and downslope to identi~ the presence of layers that may cause sidehill seepage. In no case shall a trench be located within fifteen (15) feet of such a layer surfacing on the downslope. 2. Bed construction shall be limited to areas having natural slopes of less than six per cent (6%). 3. Any soil treatment area other than seepage pits shall be set back the following distances from the features given below.
