I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />rI <br /> i <br />'1 <br /> I <br /> I <br /> ! <br /> I <br /> <br />TO: Bob Ryan cc: John Harrington <br /> <br />FROM: Karl Burandt <br /> <br />RE: City of Ramsey's On-site Septic System Ordinance <br /> <br />The following comments on the Ramsey on-site septic system ordinance are <br />provided: <br /> <br /> 1) The MWCC should review this ordinance for adequacy as part of the <br />Ramsey CSP. <br /> <br /> 2) Paragraph 150.015F - last paragraph - should incluc[e.a sentence which <br />states that septic tank pumpers should include the location of disposal of <br />pumped septage, and date of disposal. <br /> <br /> 3) Paragraph 150.015A, Routine Cleaning and Schedule and Notification, <br />will not meet the intent of WRMDG Procedure 10, Section E, Paragraphs3.1 <br />and 3.Z which describes what should be observed in a septic tank inspection, <br />how often this inspection should be done and when it is necessary to remove <br />septage. This is not described in the Ramsey ordinance. <br /> <br /> 4) Procedure 10, Section E, Paragraph 4 describes minimum recordkeeping <br />of individual on-site septic system maintenance. These records are to be <br />made to the local government. The Ramsey ordinance has no requirement <br />when the owner or user of a system is to report his inspections to the City. <br /> <br /> <br />
