Accordingly, <br />it is requested that after __ days notice to individuals, the City be authorized to <br />take the case to small claims court for collection. <br /> <br />Coundl Action: Your action will be to approve/disapprove of the above requested <br />action. This action will have to be accomplished by resolution. Please refer to <br />the above stated enclosure for the proposed resolution· The following proposed <br />motion is hereby submitted for your consideration: <br /> <br />court for collection. <br /> <br />and seconded by v~_~..~ to adopt Resolution ~84- <br />of submitting certain accounts receivable to.small claims <br /> <br />Motion carried. GILBERT <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />i <br /> <br />MENKVELD: <br /> <br />Mr. Menkveld, who owns the tax forfeit property (PIN 24-32-25-33-0013), states <br />that he was not notified of this property going into tax forfeiture. Please refer <br />to enclosure (DZ-n) which contains the following documents: <br /> <br />a) Map showing tax forfeit property PIN Z4-3Z-ZS-33-0013 <br />b) City Attorney's letter dated February 10, 1984 <br />c) Council Resolution #83-212 dated December Z0, 1983 <br />d) Copy of proposed resolution for Council adoption <br /> <br />At your December Z0, 1983 meeting, Council adopted Resolution ~g3-Z1Z to acquire <br />the above tax forfeit property for the purpose of public use (mainly for drainage). <br />However, as stated in the City Attorney's letter, Mr. Menkveld was not aware of <br />this property going into tax forfeiture. In checking out what happened, it is a <br />commedy of errors involving Mr. Menkvled and the County Auditor as to why this <br />property ended up on the tax forfeit list. <br /> <br /> <br />
