Accordingly, it is requested that after __ days notice to individuals, the City be authorized to take the case to small claims court for collection. Coundl Action: Your action will be to approve/disapprove of the above requested action. This action will have to be accomplished by resolution. GILBERT I I I I i MENKVELD: Mr. Menkveld, who owns the tax forfeit property (PIN 24-32-25-33-0013), states that he was not notified of this property going into tax forfeiture. Please refer to enclosure (DZ-n) which contains the following documents: a) Map showing tax forfeit property PIN Z4-3Z-ZS-33-0013 b) City Attorney's letter dated February 10, 1984 c) Council Resolution #83-212 dated December Z0, 1983 d) Copy of proposed resolution for Council adoption At your December Z0, 1983 meeting, Council adopted Resolution ~g3-Z1Z to acquire the above tax forfeit property for the purpose of public use (mainly for drainage). However, as stated in the City Attorney's letter, Mr. Menkveld was not aware of this property going into tax forfeiture. In checking out what happened, it is a commedy of errors involving Mr. Menkvled and the County Auditor as to why this property ended up on the tax forfeit list.
