However, Well No. 2A showed an increase in <br />nitrates and specific conductance and a decrease in the water <br />level. The level of nitrates exceeded EPA's Primary Drinking <br />Water Standard by ninety percent (90%). The water level in 2A <br />dropped by almost four feet (4.0') which results in eleven feet <br />(11.0') of gradient between wells 2A and 6A. <br /> <br />The increase in the nitrates and specific conductance may be <br />temporary or the result of a contaminated sample.
