Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #16-09-156 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 16-98; MISSISSIPPI RIVER TRAIL — WEST OF ARMSTRONG BOULEVARD TO CITY LIMITS WHEREAS, on October 27th, 2015, the City Council authorized the preparations of Plans and Specifications and the Ads for Bids for the Mississippi River Trail through the City of Ramsey; and WHEREAS, bids were received, opened, and tabulated on August 2nd, 2016, and the following bids were found to comply with the advertisement for bids; and BIDDING CONTRACTOR Park Construction Kuechle Underground Valley Paving Sunram Construction Midwest Asphalt Veit & Company Engineer's Estimate TOTAL BID $627,986.40 $652,382.00 $707,998.30 $807, 55.00 $833,782.00 $859, 08.00 $1,108,143.00 WHEREAS, the bid of Park Construction in the amount of $627,986.40 for the construction of said improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder and their bid shall be and hereby is accepted. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. 2) The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids at such time that a contract has been executed.
