Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #16-09-156 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT <br />FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 16-98; MISSISSIPPI RIVER TRAIL — WEST OF <br />ARMSTRONG BOULEVARD TO CITY LIMITS <br />WHEREAS, on October 27th, 2015, the City Council authorized the preparations of Plans <br />and Specifications and the Ads for Bids for the Mississippi River Trail through the City of Ramsey; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, bids were received, opened, and tabulated on August 2nd, 2016, and the <br />following bids were found to comply with the advertisement for bids; and <br />BIDDING CONTRACTOR <br />Park Construction <br />Kuechle Underground <br />Valley Paving <br />Sunram Construction <br />Midwest Asphalt <br />Veit & Company <br />Engineer's Estimate <br />TOTAL BID <br />$627,986.40 <br />$652,382.00 <br />$707,998.30 <br />$807, 55.00 <br />$833,782.00 <br />$859, 08.00 <br />$1,108,143.00 <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Park Construction in the amount of $627,986.40 for the <br />construction of said improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and <br />advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder and their bid shall be and hereby is <br />accepted. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of <br />the City of Ramsey. <br />2) The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids at such time that a contract has been executed. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />RESOLUTION #16-09-156 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
