2. For future projects, if you were to define the vision
and goals for The COR moving forward, how would you
define that vision? What modifications to the
statement above would you make?
4 • contlnuecordefine °rk'h ele0 ra rea%
avi si aevi‘CIW
densltybusjnessesother
Count Response
1
Commercial/retail where people can take care of casual everydaysho pping or sitdown ata local restaurant
(grocery, hardware, restaurant, or hair salon). Professional Offices/places to workor take care of everyday
business (real estate, banking, accounting, legal services and local postoffice). Less of High -density
residential/places to live.
1
Continue to draw businesses to the COR. As stated above, much of the COR area is sitting vacant. We must be
flexible in the esthetics expected in the COR lestwe drive potential businesses awaythatcould be of great
benefitto the economy and prosperityof Ramsey and its residents.
1
Getting the City to grow requires thought and an organized approach -the planning has to organize sections of
the town so they blend together. The Industrial Park helps to define the City as you drive through it- it is tidy and
verywell presented.
1 !agree with the vision and goals as stated.
1 I knowthat holding outfor a "Target" type store may result in a long delay in developing that retail area. Maybe
smaller retail works better.
1 !would staytrue to the plan. Itseems well thoughtout. It m aytake longer than anticipated, but I believe thatitwill
work.
1 I'm very comfortable with the vision stated above. (twill need to be flexible since the economy has and will
continue to im pactwhatdevelo pmentwill emerge and the timing of investments.
1
In general, the statement is fine. Not all development appears to be consistentwith the guidelines in The COR
Design Framework. In COR 1, the elementof parking infrastructure has not been adequately incorporated in
the actual planning.
2
