CC Work Session 2. 4. Meeting Date: 09/27/2016 Information Title: Update on LRRWMO Adoption of Resolution No. 2016-03 Recognizing the City of Anoka as the Sole Owner of the Anoka Dam Purpose/Background: The purpose of this case is to update the City Council on the recent adoption of Resolution No. 2016-03 by the Lower Rum River Watershed Management Organization (LRRWMO) officially recognizing the City of Anoka as sole owner of the Rum River Dam located within the City of Anoka. A copy of draft Resolution No. 2016-03 is attached for reference. The LRRWMO Board adopted the attached resolution contingent on the correction of several typographical errors and review by the WMO Attorney. After this, the resolution is to be submitted to the Board of Water and Soil Resources for review and comment. Administrators/Managers from each of the three member cities (Andover, Anoka and Ramsey) met on September 7th to discuss the requirements of the Third Generation Plan related to the Rum River (Anoka) Dam and to ensure all member cities have the same understanding of the proposed assessment requirements for the Anoka Dam outlined in the Third Generation Plan. The Third Generation Plan is available for viewing under "Plans and Reports" on the LRRWMO web site at www.lrrwmo.org/. Staff will discuss the adopted resolution and requirements related to the Anoka Dam within the Third Generation Plan in more detail at the Work Session.
