Economic Dev. Mgr/Assistant City Administrator Brama stated that the criteria does not specify <br />for profit or not for profit. He reviewed some of the criteria noting that PACT would meet some <br />of the criteria. <br />Chairperson Steffen confirmed the consensus of the EDA to move Dedicated Networks, PACT <br />Charter School, and Dynamic Group to the small list for 2017 Business of the Year. <br />Motion by Member Brunt, seconded by Member Burandt, to recommend to City Council that <br />Bolton & Menk be retroactively selected as 2016 Business of the Year. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Steffen, Members Brunt, Burandt, LeTourneau, Skaff, <br />and Williams. Voting No: None. Absent: Members Hardin and Riley. <br />5. MEMBER / STAFF UPDATE <br />5.01: Business Retention and Expansion <br />Econ. Dev. Mgr/Assistant City Administrator Brama reviewed the staff report. <br />5.02: Receive 2016 City of Ramsey Citizen Survey <br />Economic Dev. Mgr/Assistant City Administrator Brama reviewed the staff report and <br />highlighted the results of the 2016 City of Ramsey Citizen Survey. <br />5.03: Member/Staff Update <br />The EDA reviewed the Staff Update. <br />Chairperson Steffen asked for more information on the McDonald's construction timeline. <br />City Administrator Ulrich provided an update on that process. <br />Member LeTourneau stated that there is one blighted property along Highway 10 that is on the <br />market and asked if the EDA would like to look at that property as a possible acquisition. <br />City Administrator Ulrich provided an update noting that HRA and/or EDA funding could be <br />used for acquisition purposes. He noted that the Council will be involved in the overall plan for <br />Highway 10. <br />6. ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion by Member Skaff, seconded by Member Brunt, to adjourn the meeting. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Steffen, Members Skaff, Brunt, Burandt, LeTourneau, <br />and Williams. Voting No: None.
