Consider Removal of Abandoned Garage at 16600 Highway 47: Ratify the recommendation of the Public Works <br />Committee to recommend that the City Council approve a contract with Sauter and Sons for the removal of the <br />garage located at 16600 Highway 47 for the quoted price of $4,250. <br />Purpose/Background: <br />The Public Works Committee held its regular meeting on September 20, 2016 and discussed the following case: <br />1. Staff reviewed in the report that the garage at 16600 Highway 47 has been sitting vacant for several years. The <br />City has on several occasions needed to repair the boards on the building due to vandalism. It has been decided <br />there is no real purpose or need for this garage any longer and the staff recommendation is to remove it. The Public <br />Works Superintendent advertised for demolition of this building and received two outside bids for this project. Staff <br />recommends accepting the bid of Sauter and Sons for $4,250.
