CC Regular Session 4. 3. <br />Meeting Date: 10/11/2016 <br />By: Mark Riverblood, Engineering/Public <br />Works <br />Information <br />Title <br />Approve JPA Authorizing Anoka County to Utilize City Trail Easement <br />Purpose/Background: <br />The purpose of this case and Joint Powers Agreement, is to permit Anoka County Parks to construct a trail over a <br />triangular shaped trail easement at the east end of the terminus of 142nd Avenue in Alpaca Estates, approximately <br />2,500' feet due south of City Hall, south of Hwy #10 and Riverdale Drive. The easement was procured consistent <br />with the strategic goal of a 'Connected Community', in anticipation of the opportunity to connect the <br />aforementioned neighborhood to Mississippi West Regional Park, and Ramsey's trail system. The easement was <br />provided at no cost to the City, and conveyed by PSD Inc. <br />The last attachment shows the scope of the approximate $900,000 trail project that spans the width of the regional <br />park, connecting neighborhoods on both sides.
