A total of 11 bids were received. <br />Subsequent to the opening of bids, a communication error regarding a technical requirement was <br />discovered that may have affected bid prices. Additionally, City staff considered the timing of <br />the project and identified advantages of rebidding the project with a revised timeline which <br />would allow for the major demolition work to occur during the winter months when it would be <br />less disruptive to the surrounding residents. As stated in the bid documents, the City reserves <br />the right to reject any and all bids. <br />Therefore, we recommend that any and all bids opened on September 21, 2016 be rejected. <br />Further, we would recommend that the specifications for the project be revised and that the <br />project be rebid at a future date with an updated schedule. <br />Sincerely, <br />Hakanson Anderson <br />e M.
