Based on bid advertisement dates, the soonest bids could be opened was Friday, October 7th. This case therefore <br />does not include any bid results, Staff's recommendation, or an attached resolution. This case will therefore be <br />pulled from the City's web site on the afternoon of October 7th and published again after bid results, Staff's <br />recommendation, and the resolution are updated and attached. <br />Alternatives: <br />Alternative #1 — Motion adopting Resolution #16-10-193 accepting bids and awarding a contract for construction <br />for Improvement Project #16-98, Central Park Parking Lot Improvements, and authorizing an additional <br />expenditure up to $15,000 from the Park Improvement Trust Fund for irrigation repairs and rain garden landscaping. <br />Alternative #2 — Motion denying adoption of Resolution #16-10-193 at this time. <br />Funding Source: <br />Plans and Specifications were prepared in-house as part of staff's regular duties. <br />The Engineer's Estimate for this project is roughly $245,000 including 23% indirect costs for administration, <br />engineering, legal and finance costs. Staff is also requesting Council authorization for an additional $15,000 for <br />necessary irrigation system repairs and for landscaping the rain garden within the new parking area.
