As you are aware, in-person absentee voting began on September 23.
696 residents voted at the Ramsey's counter during that time. As of Tuesday, November 1, the
Direct Balloting process began which is basically early voting. Beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday,
residents were able to cast their voted ballot into the DS200 counter —just like they would at their
polling location on Tuesday. On Tuesday, 66 residents voted using the direct balloting method
and on Wednesday, 115 residents cast their ballots. And, as of this writing, there is a line of voters
waiting to cast their ballot! Anoka County Elections processes all the mail -in absentee ballots so
staff doesn't have a count on the number of residents who voted using that method. City Hall
remains an absentee voting location 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today and tomorrow; 10:00 a.m. to 3:00
p.m. on Saturday and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Based upon the last couple of weeks,
staff is expecting the absentee voter traffic to be steady.
City Improvement Proiect Updates
Andrie Street and 164th Lane Reconstruction.
