FROM: <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />Building Official <br /> <br />Monthly Report for September <br /> <br />Oct<i>er 1, 1984 <br /> <br />There were seven new housing starts in September which gives us 45 new houses <br />for the year. This is a little behind what we had expected for the year as well <br />as sonewhat behind last year. Valuation, hc~ever, is slightly ahead of what was <br />in at this time last year. <br /> <br />Work is progressing quite well on the River's Bend project. Grading is being <br />completed at a rate of some 5,000 yards a day and the well is on schedule. Arcon <br />Construction began moving in equil~nent on Friday, September 28, 1984 and they <br />are new in the process of setting up dewatering equil~nent. ~he pump house plans <br />are basically complete and bids will be received on Tuesday, October 9, 1984. <br />Progress in general, to date, has been excellent and the developers are quite <br />satisfied. There have not yet been any requests for building permits. Hc~ever, <br />we have been advised that in all likelihood, there will be several homes built <br />yet this fall. <br /> <br />We have also been contacted about a food and fuel and a strip shopping center <br />adjacent to Highway #47. There are plans to build these facilities yet this <br /> <br /> <br />
