This ordinance is adopted pursuant to the <br />tion contained in Laws of the State of <br />Minnesota, 1984, Chapter 644, Section 47. <br /> <br />. It is the purpose of this ordinance to impose <br />f fifteen cents (15¢) per cubic yard of solid <br />waste deposited in mixed municipal solid waste <br />facilities located in the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />130.10.2 General Provisions. <br /> <br />For purposes of this chapter the term "mixed municipal <br />solid waste" is defined as garbage, refuse, and other <br />solid waste from residential, commercial, industrial, <br />and community activities which is generated and <br />qollected in aggregate, but does not include auto <br />hulks, street sweepings, ash, construction debris, <br />mining waste, sludges, tree and agricultural wastes, <br />tires, and other materials collected; processed, and <br />disposed of as separate waste streams. <br /> <br />Fee on Operators of Disposal Facilities. There is <br />hereby imposed a fee on operators of facilities which <br />accept and dispose of mixed municipal solid waste in the <br />City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Amount of Fee. The fee shall be fifteen cents (15¢) <br />per cubic yard or its equivalent of all solid waste <br />accepted and disposed of at any facility for mixed <br />municipal solid waste located in the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Partial Exemption From Fee. Waste residue from energy <br />and resource recovery ~acilities at which solid waste <br />is processed for the purposes of extracting, reducing, <br />converting to energy, or otherwise separating and <br />preparing solid waste for reuse shall be exempt from <br /> <br /> <br />
