Co <br /> <br />routes reasonably in advance thereof or thereafter in the opinion of the City and <br />Contractor so that the monthly schedule can be completed regardless of a holiday. <br /> <br />The Contractor shall provide the following equipment and labor biannually for <br />recycling days: <br /> <br />Six (6) roll-off boxes or equivalent mutually agreed upon by the City and <br />Contractor <br />All required labor for removal of materials collected <br />Trucking services for the delivery and removal of the roll-off boxes <br /> <br />The City shall provide a system for the collection of special fees associated with <br />the collection of problem materials at the recycling day (i.e. tires, appliances, <br />fluorescent bulbs). <br /> <br />SECTION 4. <br /> <br /> A. <br /> <br /> B. <br /> <br />Co <br /> <br />SECTION 5. <br /> A. <br /> <br />TERM OF CONTRACT <br /> <br />The term of this Contract shall be January 1, 2002 through December 31, 2004. <br /> <br />This Contract may be renewed for one contract period (1 additional year) at the <br />City's option. Renewal shall be subject to mutual Contract amendments proposed <br />by the City or the Contractor. The unit cost of the program shall be negotiated by <br />the City and the Contractor prior to the granting of the extension. The City may, <br />however, seek competitive bids for renewal, and in its discretion, select another <br />Contractor. <br /> <br />The City shall notify the Contractor a minimum of six (6) months prior to the <br />Contracts termination (June 30, 2004) if the City intends to request an extension. <br />If the Contractor intends to cease the provision of recycling services it shall notify <br />the City at least six (6) months prior to the Contracts termination. If the <br />Contractor notifies the City of its intent to cease the provision of recycling <br />services it shall not bid on the new Contract. <br /> <br />PREPARATION FOR COLLECTION <br /> <br />All occupants of residential properties in the City will be directed to prepare and <br />store Recyclable materials in containers provided by the City. <br /> <br />City residents will be advised that containers in which Recyclable materials have <br />been stored shall be placed on the boulevard area of the street in front of their <br />residence for collection. Containers shall be placed for collection by 6:30am on <br />the scheduled day of collection. <br /> <br />All Recyclable materials placed for collection shall be owned by and be the <br />responsibility of the occupants of each residential property until said materials are <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
