May 2, 1984 Q~~198.4 .~1
Mr. Lloyd Schnelle, Administrator
City of Ramsey
15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W.
Anoka, Minnesota 55303

Dear Mr. Schnelle:

Anoka County Commissioners have established a pilot project
this year for leaf composting at a site in Coon Rapids provided
by the City of Coon Rapids (see attached map). Along with the
map I have also attached a flyer which tells about the program
and the times the facility will be open. This site is for use
by residents of Anoka County, and they should be encouraged
to use it rather than hauling their leaves to the landfills.

The Commissioners have also asked the Park Department to make
the burn site at Bunker Bills Park available to the residents
of Anoka County at no cost for one month, April 28th through
May 26th, on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Tuesdays
and Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

We have provided the newspapers with this information, but it
was felt that a follow-up letter, along with flyers, should be
provided to the municipalities as well. If you have any questions
on either the leaf composting or the burn site, please call me
at 757-3920.

Sincer~y,

David L.
