I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> ! <br /> I <br /> I <br /> i <br /> I <br /> I <br /> i <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />PROCEEDINGS OF CITM COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on Tuesday, February <br />28, 1984 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec (arrived at 7:43 p.m.) <br />Councilm-mher Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Jean Schlueter <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br />Councilmember Sue Van Wagner <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />City Building Official Clayton Berg <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />Reporter Joe Perrin <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Gary Reimann called the regular meeting to order at 7:41 p.m. <br />and led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Pastor Ronald Metzger - 7640 Hull Road - Anoka - Stated that he is Pastor <br />of Grace Community Church which is currently building in Ramsey. Requested <br />use of City Hall lower level for church services from May 27, 1984 through <br />September 2, 1984, Sundays only. Pastor Metzger stated that Lord of Life <br />is currently utilizing facilities at City Hall but will not require the <br />facility between May 27, 1984 and September 2, 1984. Pastor Metzger also <br />requested use of the nursery room located in City Hall lower level, during <br />church services. <br /> <br />Mayor Ga/nec arrived at this time. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Reimann stated that Pastor Metzger's request will be added to <br />the agenda as Case %13 under Council New Business. <br /> <br />Larry Anderson - Ramsey JayCees - Presented a plaque to Councilm~mher Schlueter <br />in appreciation of her assistance with the Ramsey Day Celebration held in <br />1983. Presented a plaque to Mayor Gamec for the City of Ramsey in appreciation <br />for hosting this chapter of the JayCees. Mr. Anderson then offered the JayCee's <br />assistance in the upcoming Ramsey Clean Up Day. Mr. Anderson stated that the <br />JayCee's, in conjunction with other Ramsey residents, are planning a Ramsey <br />10th anniversary celebration; the JayCee's are requesting council's approval <br />and backing. Mr. Anderson inquired if the City allotted any funds for such <br />activities and could they be released for this 10th anniversary celebration? <br />Mr. Anderson stated that a representative of the JayCee's will be contacting <br />the City Attorney regarding insurance on certain portions of the planned <br />celebration. Mr. Anderson stated that when the basic plans for the celebration <br />are formulated, they will be presented to council. The tentative date for <br /> <br />C/February 28, 1984 <br /> <br /> <br />
