'1 I I I I I I Councilmember Schlueter referred to Item 922 (Letter dated January 18, 1984 from Mayor Gamec to Mr. Louis Breimhurst of the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission regarding Ramsey's second sewer connection). Councilmember Schlueter stated that Mayor Gamec's request for second sewer connection is premature considering preliminary plat approval for the P.U.D. has not taken place. Councilmember Schlueter then referred to the 3rd paragraph of this subject letter and Mayor Ga~ec's statement that the City'is in the process of approving a high density P.U.D., and stated that she as a councilmember is in the process of looking at the proposed P.U.D., not approving it. Mayor Gamec stated that if the councilmembers feel the letter needs to be corrected, they should make a motion to that effect. Otherwise, Mayor Gamec stated he intends to stand on the letter as written; that it may be an important political issue to some people, but not to him. Councilmember Schlueter referred to Item %30, (Resolution %83-215 dated December 20, 1983 supporting the location of a racing facility in the City of Blaine). Councilmember Schlueter stated that she had abstained on that resolution, that the minutes of that meeting reflect that she abstained but the resolution itself records her voting in favor of. Mr. Schnelle stated that the resolution will be corrected. STAFF REPORTS Council noted the following Staff reports: a) City Administrator b) Building Official c) Police Chief d) City Engineer COUNCIL BUSINESS Case %1: Receivin~/Acce~tin~/Re~ectin~ Com~uter Software And Hardware Bids: Ms. Ann Carroll of Thompson and Company and City Accountant Moen were present. Councilmember Schlueter complimented Ms. Carroll on her compilation and comparison report of the bids. Ms. Carroll stated that none of the vendors met all of the requirements, but certain vendors are better in certain areas. Thompson and Company feels that Teleterminals appears to best meet Ramsey's needs in a long run, particularly in training and support. Teleterminals seems most willing and able to work with Ramsey in a creative way. Council then reviewed the bids with Ms. Carroll. City Attorney Goodrich stated that since this is such a complex bid and difficult to analyze and financial matters have not been worked out, the City would like to not reject any bids, but commence entering into contract negotiation with the most successful bidder.
