Commissioner Troy asked if a discussion with the Nowthen Park Board would be appropriate
and Mr. Riverblood stated that may be helpful. Commissioner Troy knows one member and will
give him a call.
Chair Bennett summarized a comprehensive review of all the parks may be a first step. Mr.
Riverblood stated he would develop a draft matrix and perhaps the Commissioners would each
take some parks and do the measurements and possibly revise the matrix.
Chair Bennett stated he would be comfortable going to every park to evaluate and have other
Commissioners attend for a total of 2-3 evaluations per park. Mr. Riverblood suggested photos
be taken for documentation purposes.
Commissioner Troy suggested doing it as a group in a large van and visit all the parks. Mr.
Riverblood stated that would be a half-day session.
Chair Bennett summarized Mr. Riverblood will work on a preliminary matrix and bring it to the
October Park Commission meeting.
6.
