Alt comments received during the
30 day public notice period were considered prior to issuance of the final permit.
~Certain changes were made to the January 20, 1984 draft permit and are incor-
porated in the final permit. These changes are discussed below.

A new subsection has been added to Part II.C. which requires
monthly inspection of gas collection Wells B through N inclu-
sively. In the event the inspection reveals the presence of
.ground water in any of the wells, the water level(s) is to be
reported promptly to the Director. The purpose of this require-
ment is to provide early detection of ground water mounding
problems along'the north and west side of the facility.

2. The shallow/deep designations of Wells 6A and 6C have been
'changed to reflect their true depth relationships.

I
I
I

3. The frequency of sampling and analysis of the parameters in
Part II.C.4. and C.5. has been increased to an annual basis
in order to more accurately assess the rate of movement and
the location of leachate contaminated ground water.

Phone:_6.1.. 2/296-7282_
1935 West County Road B2, Roseville, Minnesota 55113-2785
Regional Offices · Duluth/Brainerd/Dotroi!
