I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />TO: Mayor and Councilmembers <br /> <br />FROM: City Administrator <br /> <br />RE: Board of Adjustment <br /> <br />ENCL: (D4-a) Information regarding Mr. Gary Gorham's variance request <br /> <br />CASE #1: REQUEST FOR A BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT VARIANCE TO BUILD AN <br /> <br />ACCESSORY STRUCTURE ON A VACANT LOT; CASE OF MR. GARY <br />GORHAM: <br /> <br />Mr. Gary Gotham of 9016 Collins Drive NW has requested a variance to <br />place an accessory structure on a vacant lot adjacent to his home. Mr. <br />Gotham has stated that the garage will be designed the same as his house <br />with the high pitched roof, brick front and stucco on the sides and rear. <br />City Ordinance prohibits the placement of an accessory building on a <br />parcel of property if there is no principal structure and therefore, a variance <br />is necessary. <br /> <br />We feel that the granting of this would be in order if Mr. Gotham enters <br />into a development agreement. <br /> <br />The following items are included as enclosure (D4-a) for your consideration <br />in this matter: <br /> <br />a) Applicant's application <br />b) Front elevation <br />c) Site plan <br />d) Public hearing notice <br />e) List of properties notified <br />f) Proposed findings of fact <br />g) Proposed development agreement <br />h) Building Official's letter to Mr. Gotham <br /> <br />Council Action: Your action will be to approve/disapprove/amend the <br />proposed findings of fact and approve/disapprove of Mr. Gorham's request. <br />The following proposed motions are hereby submitted for your consideration: <br /> <br />Motion by and seconded by to <br />approve/disapprove/amend the proposed findings of fact for Mr. Gary <br />Gorham's variance request to build an accessory structure on a vacant <br />lot. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes . <br />Voting no . <br /> <br /> <br />
