Kordiak <br />Natalie Haas <br />Patrick McFarland <br />Tom Gamec <br /> <br />RAMSEY LANDFILL MEETING MINUTES <br /> January 13, 1984 <br /> <br />STAFF <br />Coleen Brady <br />Tim Yantos <br />Jay McLinden <br />Dan Erhart <br />Steve Klein <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chairman Kordiak called the meeting of the Ramsey Landfill Board to order at <br />12:10 p.m. at Mr. Steak, 5895 University Avenue, Fridley, Minnesota 55432. <br />A quorum was declared present. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS <br />After a brief review Mr. Halsey moved TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER 21, 1983, <br />AND DECEMBER 23, 1984. Ms. Haas seconded. Chairman Kordiak, Patrick McFarland, <br />Tom Gamec, Steve Halsey, Natalie Haas all voted yes. The motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD APPROPRIATION TO THE RAMSEY LANDFILL BOARD <br />Tim Yantos and Coleen Brady announced that the Anoka County Board of Commissioners <br />have appropriated $25,000 to the Ramsey Landfill Board (R.L.B.) to be utilized for <br />the operation of the R.L.B. <br /> <br />LEHN ELECTRIC PROPOSAL (ATTACHMENT "A") <br />Mr. Yantos discussed the need to perform some specific electric work to "hook up" <br />the dual system at Waltek. He presented a bid from Lehn Electric to perform this <br />work at a cost not to exceed $7,984.00. After some discussion, it was decided to <br />solicit additional bids. Mr. McFarland then moved TO APPROVE THE LO~ST RESPONSIBLE <br />BID RECEIVED AT A COST NOT TO EXCEED $7,984.00 SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF LEGAL <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />COUNSEL. Ms. Haas seconded. Mr. Halsey, Chairman Kordiak, Natalie Haas, Patrick <br />McFarland, and Tom Gamec all voted yes. The motion was passed unanimously. <br /> <br />METERING OPTIONS: ANOKA ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE (ATTACHMENT "B") <br /> <br />Ms. Brady and Mr. Yantos discussed the January 10, 1984 letter from Mike Rajala. <br />After considerable discussion, it was agreed that the Ramsey Landfill Board should <br />pay for the cost of primary metering. Mr. Halsey moved TO CONTRACT WITH ANOKA <br />ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE TO FURNISH, INSTALL AND MAINTAIN THE REQUIRED PRIMARY METER- <br /> <br />ING AT A COST NOT TO EXCEED $5,500 SUBJECT TO APPROVAL BY LEGAL COUNSEL AS TO <br /> <br />FORMAND LEGALITY. Ms. Haas seconded. Mr. Halsey, Chairman Kordiak, Natalie Haas, <br /> <br />I <br />! <br />I <br /> <br />Patrick McFarland and Tom Gamec all voted yea. The motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />PROJECT UPDATE (ATTACHMENT "C") <br />Mr. Tim Yantos, Project Manager presented an update on the project (attachment "C") <br />and answered Board members questions. <br /> <br />ACCAP, WALTEK CONTRACT (ATTACHMENT "D") <br />After a brief discussion, Mr. Gamec moved TO APPROVE THE CONTRACT AMONG THE RAMSEY <br />LANDFILL BOARD, ANOKA COUNTY COMMUNITY ACTION PROGRAM, INC. AND WALTEK, INC. SUBJECT <br /> <br />TO THE APPROVAL OF LEGAL COUNSEL AS TO FORM AND LEGALITY. Ms. Haas seconded. Mr. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Halsey, Chairman Kordiak, Natalie Haas and Tom Gamec all voted yes. ~The motion <br />passed with Mr. McFarland abstaining. <br /> <br /> <br />
