Motion by Councilmember Riley, seconded by Councilmember Williams, to adopt Resolution <br />#16-10-193 Accepting Bids and Awarding Construction Contract for City Improvement Project <br />#16-98 Central Park Parking Lot Improvements and to authorize an additional expenditure up to <br />$15,000 from the Park Improvement Trust Fund for irrigation repairs and rain garden <br />landscaping. <br />Further discussion: Councilmember LeTourneau stated that he appreciates the discussion tonight. <br />He stated that $40,000 is $40,000 but appreciated the value of the project that is needed and <br />therefore will support the project. Councilmember Kuzma stated that he can support the bid but <br />asked for more information on the $15,000 for the landscaping. Parks and Assistant Public <br />Works Superintendent Riverblood stated that the $15,000 is a placeholder item as staff is hoping <br />to complete the work in-house at a lower price but depending on the workload of staff a <br />contractor may need to be involved. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Strommen, Councilmembers Riley, Williams, and Kuzma. <br />Voting No: Councilmember LeTourneau. Absent: Councilmembers Johns and Shryock. <br />8. MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br />City Administrator Ulrich announced upcoming meetings and events. <br />9.
