The Councilmembers agreed that Mr. Surma is dedicated to the City and will continue to provide <br />his great feedback and thoughts to the Council. <br />Councilmember Kuzma stated he liked Mr. Anderson's background for Planning Commission <br />and stated Mr. Surma would be his other choice because of his background. He noted he also <br />thinks Mr. Bayer would be a good fit for the EDA. <br />Councilmember Shryock stated Mr. Anderson seemed to have the knowledge to hit the ground <br />running. She stated she feels Mr. Sis would be great on the Parks and Recreation Board due to <br />the fact he is a young family man and will probably be more likely to have a large interest in the <br />parks. <br />Councilmember Williams stated she liked that Mr. Sis provided background on his leadership <br />skills and noted he ranked highest for her. <br />Councilmember Riley asked whether staff will keep all the candidates on file for a certain <br />amount of time to fill as suitable positions become available they are interested in. <br />Human Resources Manager Lasher read the cover letter sent out with applications that noted all <br />applicants will be kept on file and put up for review as commission seats become available for <br />the next year. <br />The consensus of the Council was to appoint Mr. Anderson to the Planning Commission and Mr. <br />Sis to the Parks and Recreation Board. <br />Human Resources Manager Lasher stated she would notify the candidates. <br />There was a consensus from the Council to review and revise the interview questions to include: <br />a question regarding the core values of the City; a behavior and situational question; and, to add <br />the definitions and roles for each Commission. <br />3.
