I would like to be <br />considered for a position on the commission. I submit the <br />following personal data; <br /> <br />Donald R. Stauffer <br />6741 157th Lane NW <br />Ramsey, Minn. <br />421-1289 <br />Age 47 <br />Education: M.S. degree, Physics. <br />Employed as Senior Research Scientist with Honeywell Corp. <br /> <br /> I have been professionally involved in the aerospace <br />industry for over 20 years, and have had an interest in aviation <br />for an even longer time. I am a licensed private pilot. I am <br />well aware of the importance of general aviation to the economic <br />health of a community, and the needs of recreational flyers. I <br />also live within a mile and a half of the airport, so I have a <br />good appreciation of the feelings of residents over noise and <br />safety issues. I feel I can see both sides of many of the issues <br />which confront an airport commission, and would be an objective <br />member of such a commission.
