The information outlined in this memo is based on an informal meeting on Monday, August 27, with Tom Garnet, Gary Reimann, Marc Hadley, Lloyd Schnelle, and Jim Stewart in which the future directions of the Ramsey Community School operation was discussed. PROPOSAL: It is our recommendation that a task force be appointed to develop a three- year plan regarding the direction of the Ramsey Commtinity School operation. In the interim, an acting director be appointed to maintain the program during the transition period. FORMAT: Make up of the task force could consist of: Paul Reifenberger Teachers from Ramsey School Community School Coordinator Jim Stewart, ex officio Representative of the Park Board Representative'from the Ramsey Athletic Association Representative from the City Council Two representatives from the Advisory Council CHARGE: To submit recommendations that would address the future direction of the Ramsey Community School operation with regard to: 1. Role and scope of the preschool program 2. Role and scope the elementary enrichment program. 3. Direction of the teen program. 4. Role and scope of the adult program. 5. Role and responsibility relative to working with the Park Board. 6. Role with regard to working with the Ramsey Athletic Association. 7. Role and responsibilities for scheduling and coordination of facilities (the city and school). 8. The role and responsibility to work with the senior citizens program. 9. Role of the Key Communicator/Crime Vandalism program. TIME LINE: To submit a report to the Ramsey City Council by the 1st of December. Please note that this is a draft and open to any additions.
