I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I i RESOLUTION ~84- WHEREAS, Councilman Reimann, who serves onthe Quad City Communication Commission, informed the Ramsey City Council several meetings ago that the subject would be requesting funding in the amount of $10,000 from each of the member cities because their budget had a deficit. However, he explained that Group W Cable would then reimburse each city as per franchise; and WHEREAS, the Quad Cities Cable Commission has submitted a letter dated June 2c), lc)84 to each of the four cities requesting a contribution of $10,000 in accordance with Article 11, Section l, Subparagraph 2 of the franchise; and WHEREAS, City of Ramsey Resolution ~84- which adjusted the 1984 City Budget does provide for this funding in the adjusted City Budget for 1984. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City of Ramsey to make a temporary contribution to the Quad Cities Communications Commission in the amount of $10,000 in accordance with Article 11, Section 1, Subparagraph 2 of the franchise to cover budget operating deficit. Z) It is requested that the City Accounting Department issue a check in the amount of $10,000 to the Quad Cities Cable Communications Commission. 3) It is further requested that a statement be submitted to Group W Cable for repayment of the stated funds. (This statement is to be mailed to Mr. Terry O'Connell, Cable Franchise Administrator, Quad Cities Cable Communications Commission, Z015 - 1st Avenue, Anoka, Minnesota 55303, as he will mail the statement on to Group W Cable).
