I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br /> I <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />:1 <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />copper service pipe must be laid sufficiently waving to allow <br />of not les8 than one (1) foot of extra length in such manner <br />as to prevent rupture by settlement. The service pipe must <br />be placed not less than 7-1/2 feet below the surface in all <br />cases, so arranged as to prevent rupture from freezing. <br /> <br />7. The service pipe must extend from the main to the inside <br />of the building, or, if not taken into a building, then to <br />the hydrant or other fixtures which it is intended to supply. <br />A stop cock accessible from the surface through a sleeve <br />without digging in all cases must be placed outside in a box <br />at the property line, and a shut-off or other stop cock with <br />waste of the size and strength required shall be placed close <br />to the inside wall of the building, well protected from <br />freezing. All stop boxes and cocks must be approved by the <br />City. All stop boxes at the property line must be set in <br />front of the building intended to be supplied or as approved <br />by the City. <br /> <br />8. The service pipe from the City watermain to the meter <br />shall enter the building so that the meter and horn is in a <br />horizontal position. In no case should there be more than <br />twelve (12) inches of pipe exposed between the point of the <br />entrance through the basement floor and the stop and waste, <br />and said stop and waste shall be connected directly to the <br />meter. <br /> <br />9. If, from any cause, a person laying the service pipe <br />should fail to have the corporation cock inserted or the <br />connection made to the curb stop at the time specified in his <br />application, a written notice to that effect must be left <br />with the Director of Inspections and Licenses fixing another <br />day on which he wishes to make said connection. A notice <br />must be given at least two days previous to the excavation <br />for the laying of a service pipe and the connection made <br />before 4:00 p.m., except in a special case and then the work <br />shall be done only on written order from the City. <br /> <br /> 210.0211 Stop Box City Property. The stop cock at main and <br />property or curb line, together with box and cover, are the <br />property of the City and all unauthorized persons are forbidden <br />to interfere with them. <br /> <br /> 210.0212 Water Service, Freezing Weather. The water service <br />to a building shall not be turned on in freezing weather unless <br />the temperature within said building is 50 degrees or above. <br /> <br />210.0213 Connect ion Prohibited. <br /> <br />1. No more than one house or building or in the case of <br />townhouses, one unit, shall be supplied from one water <br /> <br /> <br />
