Admr.
15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW
Anoka, MN 55303

Dear Council Members:

On July 3, 1984, a field investigation of the proposed well site for
municipal well #1 was conducted by myself with the assistance of Peter
Raatikka of your consulting engineers. The proposed well site is located
on City property, just east of St. Francis Boulevard near the old City hall
building. The site appears to be satisfactory from a sanitary viewpoint
and is approved provided:

1. The City owns the property for a 50 foot radius around the
well and no buried sewers can be located within this distance°

2. The engineer assures that the well will be unaffected by
contaminants from the nearby landfill.

3. All aspects of the Water Well Construction Code concerning
location of wells shall be adhered to.

If you have any questions, please contact the writer at 612/623-5361.

Public Health Engineer
Environmental Field Services

cc: Peter Raatikka, Hakansan Anderson Associates Inc.

an equal opportunity employer
