The ponding area is located on Mr. Carl
Pomeraming's property and also covers a portion of Lots 1 and 2,
Block 1.

Due to the heavy snowfall and rains the past year, the water elevation
in the pond and groundwater has risen and the water is encroaching
further onto Lots 1 and 2, Block 1. The high water along with the
house and drainfield on Lot 2 being constructed too low has caused the
drainfield to backup and be in violation of the City's on-site waste-
water disposal ordinance.

City Attorney Bill Goodrich has checked Lots 1 and 2 for easements and
informed me that there is a 20 foot drainage easement centered on the
lot line between Lots 1 and 2. Therefore, the owners of Lots 1 and 2
could fill their lots with the exception of the drainage easements.
Filling of the lots would not lower the water elevation but it would
keep the lots from flooding.

civil · municipal · planning · soils · land surveying
