ADN]~IqSTRAT]iVE TRUST FUND ,I I The Administrative Trust Fund shall be used to I account for a surcharge levied against each special assessment to finance the administrative costs that are generated in the General Fund in maintaining- the special assessments. Each year a portion of the balance in this fund will be transferred to the General Fund to cover these costs. The Administrative Trust Fund is eligible for interfund loans to and from other funds. I i I I I I I a o 6. ]~IqVESTNEIqT TRUST FUND The Investment Trust Fund shall be an interim fund only used to account for and distribute earned interest to the various City funds. This fund is closed each year prior to issuance of the annual\ financial statements and has no budget because of' its temporary nature. The Investment Trust Fund is not eligible for tnterfund loans. BOlqEXPENDABLE TRUST FUNDS Nonexpendable Trust Funds are funds whose principal must be preserved intact. There funds are intended to account for the pFtnctpal portion of an endowment provided to the City by private donors with the stipulation that the principal-be preserved intact. As of the adoption date of this chapter there is no need for the establishment of a fund(s) under this c lass ificat ion.
