Counci lmember adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for its I I I RESGbUTION ~84- RESOLUTION APPROVING ~E HIRING OF REPLACEMENT 5IC~ OFFICER TO REPIACE MI(]tAEL EASON WHO RESIGNfD WHEREAS, Mr. Michael Eason has submitted his letter of resignation dated November 29, 1984 from the Ramsey Police Department to be effective Decem- ber 15, 1984. A ool~y of this letter is on file in Mr. Eason's personnel file; I ! I I I I I WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has submitted a memo dated November 30, 1984 to the City Administrator stating his reoommendations for a replacement for Mr. Eason. Further, the Chief stated verbally on November 30, 1984 the crucial P~ccd in filling said position as soon as possible; and WHEREAS, the City Administrator has requested that a special Council meeting be held to take action on filling said position; and WHEREAS, the above stated information was furnished to the Council at the special meeting with a ool~y of this resolution. NO~ ~MEREFORE, BE IT RESgLVED BY ~RE CITY CO[]NCIL OF ~E CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA O0DNTY, S~%TE OF MINNES(Y/I~, as follows: , requi temeritY': ~he Council hereby approves/disapproves of hiring Mr. for the position of police patrol officer with the following a) Effective date of employment is hereby established as December ~ 1984. b) Probationary period shall be for a period of one (1) year ex- piring Dec~nber ~, 1985 which is in accordance with Article VII of the police labor oontract. c) Salary schedule is hereby established as follows: First year: Dec~uber 15, 1984- December 31, 1985- paid 79% of top patrol officer wage. I I I I Seoond year and thereafter to be paid top patrol officer wage. d) Proficiency pay shall be paid four (4) years from date of hire providing all requirements contained in Article XX of the police labor contract are met. 2) It is directed that the following be accomplished: a) ~hat a colmy of this resolution be furnished to Mr. ....... explaining conditions of employment in regards to probationary period, salary, work schedule, requirements, etc. b) That all City fringe benefits be fully explained to him. c) ~hat all personnel requirements be explained to him by the Chief of Police.
