Septic System Ordinances <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br />3. All homeowners, upon completion of the inspection of their systems, are <br /> required to fill in, sign and return the attached On-Site Sewage <br /> Disposal System Location and Maintenance Report to the City. <br /> <br />4. Systems not constructed or not operating in accordance with the minimum <br /> standards of the ordinance are to be replaced or corrected. <br />A sample of a completed maintenance report is attached to help you fill in your <br />report. Please follow directions when filling out this form. Send the <br /> completed form to City Hall ....... no later ..... . If you Wish the City <br /> Inspector to make the inspection, please call 427-1410. <br /> <br />If the homeowner fails to have an inspection made of his septic system or <br />prohibits access to his property, the City of Ramsey shall obtain a court order <br />for the purpose of compliance inspection. Also, if the homeowner fails to fill <br />out the form correctly, a City representative will complete the inspection and <br />the form with the cost being assessed to the homeowner. Please note that <br />property identification numbers (P.I.N.) are shown on your tax statement and <br />mu~t be included on your maintenance report. <br /> <br />Any systems requiring pumping shall be pumped by a licensed pumper. The pumper <br />is required to obtain a pumping permit from the City prior to pumping the <br />system. <br /> <br />If you have any questions about inspection procedures or filling in the form, <br />please call 427-1410.
