I <br /> I <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />CHARTER COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Ramsey Charter Commission was held January 19, <br />1984 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Gary Heitman, Chairman <br />Mr. Thomas Gamec (Dismissed at 10:15 p.m.) <br />Mr. Dick Sieber <br />Mr. Roger Buchanan <br />Mr. John Lichter (Dismissed at 1:01 a.m.) <br />Ms. Brenda Bauerkemper <br />Mr. Tom Greenberg <br />Mr. Stan Data <br /> <br />Members Absent: Mr. Curt Titterud <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Heitman called the special meeting to order at 8:10 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Commission consensus was to approve the agenda as submitted with the <br />exception of deleting Case #2 (Commission has not yet received Mr. Moorehouse's <br />written input regarding Chapter 1 of the Proposed Charter). <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Review Mr. Dorn's Comments Regarding The Charter: <br /> <br />A. Cha~ter 1, Section 1.02 - <br /> <br /> Commission consensus is to add the following phrase at the end of the <br /> first sentence: 'and with the statutes of this State.' <br /> <br />B. Cha~ter 2, Section 2.02 - <br /> <br /> Commission consensus is to change the last sentence to read as follows: <br /> 'Membership of various Boards and Commissions shall not exeed nine <br /> members, at least two-thirds of which shall be residents of the City of <br /> Ramsey. ' <br /> <br />C. .Chapter 3, Section 3.01 - <br /> <br /> Commissioner Greenberg suggested adding the following sentence after the <br /> third sentence in Section 3.01: 'A state of emergency shall be deemed to <br /> <br /> <br />
