Ramsey, Minnesota 55303 Dear Mr. MayOr: This letter will serve to notify you that we have encountered severe sewer difficulties with the Home we constructed at 14155 Cobalt Circle in Flintwood Hills, City of Ramsey. The Home was purchased from us by Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Weaver, who reside at that address. The Weavers moved into the Home on November 27, 1985, after ob- taining a final inspection and occupancy certificate. Shortly after moving in they encountered sewer back-up problems thru their basement drain. We immediately responded by calling Burkhardt Plumbing who did the sewer line for our Company. They suggested we try a sewer line auger. We then contacted Stan's Line Cleaning Service, who came out and tried to clear the line. He was unable to get thru, he indicated that the line was either packed with sand or the line was broken, he indicated the blockage was at approximately 80' Burkhardt Plumbing installed 75' of line. Upon finding we were unable to clear the line we requested Burkhardt to try and clean the line with water pressure. He was unable to accomplish the clearing with pressure. We then decided to dig up the line to see if it was broken or where it was plugged. We exposed the line at 70-75 feet and tunneled several feet and found no broken line. We then hired Roto Rooter with their jet pump. The pump produces 1500 lbs of pressure. We were still unable to clear the line. Roto Rooter concluded that the City's lateral line was too severly plugged to flush open or that the lateral city line was broken. This took place on 12/11/85. Part of the driveway was removed during this process.
