I I I Council will have to reappoint the City Engineer, Mr. Peter Raatikka, by motion. In addition, this year the City Engineer is asking for an increase An his fee schedule from $40.00 per hour to $55.00 per hour and $65.00 per hour for private develo[ment work which can be charged to the developer and a 2.80 payroll cost multiplier. In the past, this multiplier has been 2.75. ~he engineer's fee schedule has not been increased since 1979 or 1980. Enclosure (Dl-b) contains the engineer's written request for this fee change and a oo[~y of page 6 of the engineer's contract with the City. Paragral~hS 6A and 6B are those which the engineer is requesting to be changed. ~his subject has been reviewed by the Personnel ~ittee and they have given their approv- al. Raatikka of Hakanson Anderson ASS°ciate~to serve as the consultant engineer for the City of Ramsey for calendar year 1986 and to amend paragral~h 6A of the engineering services agree- ment with the City dated May 17, 1982 such that the multiplier be increased to 2.80 and that the hourly rate in paragraph 6B be changed to $55.00 per hour; also, to add an additional paragraph to the May 17, 1982 agreement which permits the engineer to charge developers the stun of $65.00 per hour for work he does on their behalf at the request of the City and for which the City is reimbursed at said $65.00 per hour rate. Enclosure (D2-c) contains the Council meeting minutes dated January 24, 1984 which is the last time the attorney's hourly rate was creased. ~e Personnel Con~nittee has reviewed this subject and iS reGommending that this increase be approved.
