CASE #9: AFSCME LABOR NEGOTIATIONS: Er, closure (D2-h) cor, tair~s a Petition for Mediatior~ Services which has beer, filed with the State of Minr~esota Bureau of Mediatior~ Services by the AFSCME ur, ion representative. This means that at some time in the near future we will be workir[g with a mediator or[ resolving the AFSCME labor corttract for 1986. Prior to that meetir, g, a c-losed full Council meetir, g should be held to discuss exactly where we are at or~ that sub- ject and to receive direction fro~~, the full Council. Council Action: Your acticm will be to schedule a closed Council meeting pursuant to the Mirmesota Open Meeting Law for the purposes of discussing the AFSCME labor negotiations and contract and the pending mediation. The following proposed m¢,tior, is hereby submitted for your consideration: Motion by and seconded by to approve/ disapprove of the City Council conducting a closed meeting on February 4, 1986 at 6:30 p.m. at the Ramsey Municipal Center. The purpose of the closed meeting will be to discuss the on-going AFSCME u~ior~ labor contract negotiations and to give the appro- priate direction t¢, the City Attorney and City Administrator relating to these negotiations as well as the pending mediation. That letter relates to year-round operation of the Dayton port rest area and invites com~ents from the City of Ramsey.
