Voting Yes: Cbuncilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann and Cox.
Voting No: Mayor Heitman and Councilmember Schlueter.

Finance Officer Graczyk stated that the Governor made is budget reo0~r~ndations
and the ~ate impact on cities is in two areas: local goverr~ent aids and
homestead credit. ~he LGA cut for Ramsey is 8.1%; homestead credit cut is 9%.
~he third major inter-goverrr~ental fund source is from the Federal government
in the area of Federal Revenue Sharing. Ramsey's Federal Revenue Sharing has
been cut from $34,000 to $32,000. Ramsey's expenditures are low enough to
sustain the cuts but the budget will be watched closely this year.

Mayor Hei~an requested that Mr. Graczyk inform Council if he notices a
situation developing that is more negative to Ramsey than to other oor~nunities
in order that Council ~ take approl:~iate action.

Mr. Goodrich stated that he and Ms. Frolik solicited quotes fr~m six printers
and 3 bids have been received. Council reviewed the bids.

Councilme~ber COx inquired as to what percentage of the newsletter would be
utilized by the School District and stated that the School District's financial
participation should be p~oportionate to the space used by them.

Council oonsensus was to e~ble this case until it is known hc~ much financial
support the Newsletter will get from the School District.

('~ ~15-.
