TLEY TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE PUBL/C EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT ASSOCIATION WREREAS, David R. [~artley, has notified the City Council of his electionto be excluded from membership in the Public Employees Retirement Association and has provided this Council with a copy of his written election to do so, all as authorized tS' M~nnesota Statutes 353.028. NOW T~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY T~E CITY COUNCIL OF T~{E CITY OF P~EY, ANOKA OC~NTY, S~TE OF MINNESC~, as follows: 1) That the City Council makes the following findings: a) David R ~artley is the City Administrator of the City of Ramsey, Minnesota. b) That the position is provided for in the ordinances of the City of Ramsey. c) That he was duly appointed to serve in that position effective February 1, 1986. d) That the City Administrator is the chief administrative officer of the City of Ramsey. e) That acting under Minnesota Statutes 353.028, he has elected to be excluded from membership in the Public Employees Retirement Association, effective upon his filing such election with the Executive Director of that association. f) That in making this election, he has agreed that he will not at any time in the future seek any authorization to purchase service credit for any period of excluded service. ~e has further agreed that this election is irrevocable. 2) ~hat said election is therefore approved. 3) That a certified copy of this resolution shall be provided to the Executive Director of said association. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:nd upon vote being taken and the following voted against the same:
