Background: Mr. Bobert Muller is requesting approval for rezontng of his parcel directly north of the shopping center on the north side of 167th Avenue NW from it's existing R-l, Residential, zoning to B-l, Business, zoning. ~he p~rcel is approximately 4.2 acres in size. Mr. Muller is requesting this rezoning in order to have the property conform with the zoning on the adjacent property with an existing zoning of B-l, Business. Mr. Muller is seeking this rezoning in order to expand the existing shopping center and parking area for the center. ~he Plannin9 and Zoning Oommission oonducted a public hearing on Mr. Muller's request on February 4, 1986. Enclosure (6) contains the following it, s for your information: a) Application b) Site location map c) Map showing Planning and Zoning Co~ission's recommendation d) Planning and Zoning Commission public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated February 4, 1986 e) Proposed Ordinance $86-3 (3~servations: ~he Planning and Zoning Cc~mission recommended approval of rezoning the south 150 feet of the proposed parcel rather than the entire parcel. ~l~ey based their action on the current use and lease of the property and the need for additional parking area for the shopping center. Staff has no objections to this.
