ACCEPTING AND AWARDING BID FOR ANIMAL SPRING PET (J~INIC By: Dave Hartley, City Administrator Backgrom~d: At the regular meeting of February 25, 1986, the City Council authorized the City to receive quotes for the annual spring pet clinic. In accordance with that direction, the City Staff solicited bids from veterinary clinics and received a bid from the Elk River Veterinary Clinic. Please refer to enclosure (20) for the proposed resolution and a letter from Dr. David Gilgenbach which contains the following price quote: I~LP (Canine) $4.95 Parvo 4.95 Rabies (Cat and Dog) 3.75 Pan RC-C-P (Feline) 4.95 Ct~a~o~: Dr. Gilgenbach would like the Council to consider a multi-year oontract arrangement that would eliminate having to call for bids every year. Re would do whatever was necessary to provide the service at a fair fee. Re feels that dealing with the same veterinarian consistently makes for a more efficient clinic and for happier residents. l~oo~mendation: Since the Elk River Veterinary Clinic is the only veterinarian that responded, we reoo~mend that they be awarded the bid at the prices quoted in their letter dated March 10, 1986, and that the pet clinic be scheduled for Saturday, April 26. 1986 at the Ramsey Municipal Center fire barn between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 12:00 r~x)n. Council Action: Motion to: adopt Resolution {86-... accepting the bid received for the annual spring pet clinic and awarding a oontract to the Elk River Veterinary Clinic for the ~pounts quoted in their proposal dated March 10, 1986. Further, to set the pet clinic date for Saturday, April 26. 1986 at the Ramsey Municipal Center fire barn between 7:30 a.m. and 12:00 noon.
