CITY ENGINEER'S REPORT MARCH, 1986 1. Status of Subdivisions: Barthel's Rum River Acres 2nd Addition: A two-year exten- sion on Phase II of this plat was granted at your February 28, 1984 council meeting. Northfork P.U.D.: Ail street work has been suspended until next spring on the first phase. The developer completed a draft E.I.S. for the development of the entire project. Rum River Hills: Ail work on the project has been suspended until next spring. I E. Sorteberg's Fourth Addition: suspended until next spring. Whispering Pine Estates Plat 5: Final approval on this plat was granted on January 14, 1986 contingent on meeting the requirements in the Engineer's letter. I II II II II II II Extension of 153rd Avenue to Elk River: I have made a written request to the City of Elk River to designate Jarvis Street from 159th Avenue N.W. to U.S. Highway 10 & 169 as a municipal state aid street. This would allow the City of Ramsey to extend 153rd Avenue to the Elk River City limits as a MSA street. I have also spoke to their engineer and he indicated they would set up a meeting to review this request. Lower Rum River Water Management Organization Meeting: On March 19, 1986 I attended the monthly meeting of the LRRWMO. We reviewed the proposed engineering agreement with Barr Engineering, whom we selected to complete our water management plan. Following minor corrections by our attorney, Mr. Curt Pearson, we are anticipating approval of that agreement at a special meeting on April 2, 1986. Upon approval of the engineering agreement, I will meet with Barr Engineering to review Ramsey's Comprehensive Drainage Plan to determine the scope of work involved in updating the plan to meet requirements of the new law relating to storm water management (Chapter 509). I plan on presenting the scope of work and estimated cost to update the City's Comprehensive Drainage Plan at your April 22, 1986 council meeting.
