As part of this, the <br />Committee has drafted a resolution to be adopted by Anoka County cities and <br />townships enoouraging the--~ty on need for the oompletion of the bridge. <br /> <br />Hi~imi Pdvar brido, ~t~dv: The North Metro Traffic Task Force met on <br />March 20~-1986 and reviewed a draft of a report prepared by the Technical <br />Subo0~mittee. ~e report oontained the Suboommittee's findings from its study <br />of traffic probl~s relating to the Ferry Street bridge. The Subcommittee <br />identified nine possible sites for additional bridge crossings and evaluated <br />and ranked each site with respect to enviror~ental and system concerns. The <br />Task Force will review and adopt the Subcommittee's final report including <br />reoo~m~ndations for short and long term solutions and alternatives in May. <br />Once the Task Force has adopted the report, it will be presented to the Oouncil <br />for your review. Also at that time, the Council will be requested to adopt a <br />resolution requesting funding for additional study (i.e. environmental, <br />feasibility) on the reoommendations from Metropolitan Council and MnDOT. <br /> <br />Bui]dina Official: Pursuant to Council authorization, we advertised for a <br />building officer, accepted applications through March 14, and received twenty <br />one applications. ~e Personnel Committee, City Administrator and I will be <br />interviewing candidates on March 24 with the intention of bringing a <br />recommendation to the Council on March 25. In the meantime, Lester continues <br />to handle both assessing and inspections. Because of this, Lester did not have <br />time to oomplete a staff report this month. <br /> <br />1. As you know, the Minnesota Real Estate Journal is featuring the cities of <br />Anoka, Champlin, and Ramsey in its April 14 Market Focus section. The <br />Publicity Committee of the EDC is working on a full page ad for the City to <br />appear in this publication. <br /> <br />2. ~he Enviro~ental Impact Statement (ELS) for the Northfork P.U.D. is in <br />progress; a draft of the ELS will be oompleted by the end of March. ~e draft <br />will be distributed for public review and oomment in early April. <br /> <br />3. The Planning and Zoning and Economic Development Commissions will be <br />meeting in April to discuss their concerns regarding the development and <br />existing land uses along Highway 10. <br /> <br />4. Staff will be working on the application for 1987 LAWCON/LCMR funds for <br />recreational facilities and projects. ~he applications are due May 5; a draft <br />of the application will be presented to the Council in April for your review <br />and oo~ment. <br /> <br /> <br />
