Complaint is filed with City staff <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Verification of oomplaint by City staff within 1-5 days <br />- inspect property <br />- review applicable ordinances/laws <br /> <br />Notify property owner/occupant of violation <br />- letter of notification delivered by police or sent out by <br /> certified mail <br /> - letter allows ten (10) working days to oorrect violation <br /> - letter cites violation of specific section of City Code <br /> <br />After ten days if violation is not corrected, staff refers <br />case to City Attorney <br />- evidence (photos) of violation also referred to attorney <br /> <br />5. City Attorney drafts oomplaint to be signed by complainant <br /> (City staff), sets a court date, notifies the violator <br /> <br />6. Court appearance by City and violator <br /> - judge usually allows violator 30 days to correct violation <br /> <br />3/86 <br /> <br /> <br />
