I
I
I
I
i
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

CITY ENGINEER'S REPORT
APRIL, 1986

Status of Subdivisions:

Barthel's Rum River Acres 2nd Addition: A two-year exten-
sion on Phase II of this plat was granted at your
February 28, 1984 council meeting.

Northfork P.U.D.: Street work has not resumed to date on the
first phase. The total development is currently in the E.I.S.
process.

Rum River Hills: Grading and seeding on the golf course is
presently taking place.

Sorteberg's Fourth Addition:
date.

Street work has not resumed to

Alpaca Estates Third Addition:

date.

Street work has not resumed to

Whispering Pine Estates Plat 5: Final approval on this plat
was granted on January 14, 1986 contingent on meeting the
requirements in the Engineer's letter.

Extension of 153rd Avenue to Elk River: City Planner, Anne
Norris, and myself met with the Elk River Engineer and City
Administrator to discuss the designation of Jarvis Street as an
MSA street. They were reluctant to support our request because
they could not see any benefit to Elk River. They would also
like to see us share in the cost of upgrading Jarvis and the
future signalization of U.S. Highway 10 and Jarvis Street.

The Elk River Administrator stated we could make our request to
their City Council later this month.

Extension of Dysprosium Street to Trunk Highway 47 & C.S.A.H. No. 5:
As requested at your March 25, 1986 council meeting, we have
prepared the five attached alternative interchange alignments for
Dysprosium Street, T.H. No. 47 and C.S.A.H. No. 5. The County
has reviewed them and indicated that Alternates 2, 3 and 5 were
acceptable to the County. I will be meeting with Mn/DOT next
week to obtain their input. Following that meeting, I will
complete the study and provide cost estimates of the project.

Churchill Estates Site Improvements: I am still waiting for the
developer, M&S Development, to enter into a developers agreement
with the City. Therefore, the award to Matt Bullock Contracting
Co., Inc. to complete the site improvements has not been made.

Central Park L~ghting: The underground wiring has been completed
and project is scheduled for completion by May 1, 1986.
