Creighton, Legal Cou~~~ April 21, 1986 Transfer of Ownership and Control of Group W Cable, Inc. As you are aware, Group W Cable, Inc., by and through Group W Cable of the Quad Cities, Inc., requested the Cities' consent to the transfer of ownership and control in Group W to a group of five Buyers and the transfer of ownership and control and ultimate transfer of the Cable Communications Franchise Ordinance to North Central Cable Communications, L.P. Group W is obligated to receive the Cities' approval for both transactions under the Franchise Ordinance. The Quad Cities Cable Communications Commission has undertaken an extensive analysis of the legal, technical, and financial qualifications of the transferee in both transactions. At its meeting on April 9, 1986, the Commission unanimously adopted a resolution recommending to its member cities the approval of the transfer of ownership of Group W Cable, Inc. to the group of five Buyers (Transaction No. 1). Additionally, the Commission resolved to continue to review the legal, technical, and financial qualifications of North Central Cable Communications, L.P. and will make a subsequent recommendation to the Cities on this second transfer (Transaction No. 2).
